On July 19, 2025, Detroit made history as the Interactive Combat League hosted its groundbreaking live event, The STEEL is REAL, at 21630 W. 7 Mile Road. From 5 PM to 7 PM, spectators of all ages watched in awe as real robots and towering 9-foot Iron Gladiators clashed in a high-energy, movie-like battle in the center of the ring. Designed and built in Detroit, the robotic combat showcased the city’s legacy of innovation and grit. The event drew large crowds and was celebrated as a milestone in combining live entertainment with advanced engineering.
