SCOUT DAY AT THE CAPITOL TO HIGHLIGHT SCOUTING IN MICHIGAN

More than 700 Scouts from across the state of Michigan will be at the Capitol on Thursday, June 12 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. At 12:30 p.m. During the annual Scout Day at the Capitol, elected state officials and members of the House and Senate will be presented with the annual Scout Report to the State by a delegation of Scouting members from across the programs of Scouting America. The Scouts will be addressed by members of the state’s legislature.

Honorary co-hosts for the Scout Day at the Capitol include:

  • Senator Mark Huizenga
  • Senator Sarah Anthony
  • Representative Stephanie Young
  • Representative John Roth

Other activities will include Capitol tours, Scouting displays, meeting with elected officials, and interactive activities. A 30-foot rock climbing wall and an inflatable archery course will be part of the events. The community is invited to attend.
