Laingsburg Wolfpack Head Coach Tim Beebe said the gymnasium was loud and rocking in Potterville before the tipoff and during the game against the Vikings.
The crowd was pumped and the DJ was exciting those in attendance who were there to watch the big game. Division Four’s No. 2 ranked team in the State, Laingsburg Wolfpack were in Potterville paying the Vikings a visit in a district matchup. The Vikings were looking for some payback, and the chance to hand the Wolfpack their first loss of the season.
Early in the season the Wolfpack defeated the Vikings 61-39.
The Vikings went up 5-0 at the start of the game on Thursday, but the Wolfpack slowly began to bite their way back from the two possession deficit before running away with an early 16-9 lead in the first quarter.
By the midway point of the game the Wolfpack were holding a commanding 38-26 lead with the help of Zander Woodruff and teammate Ty Randall who knocked down a combined three 3-pointers, and seven free throws. Jackson Audretsch added two to the trio’s three buckets from the field respectively.
“We had some guys knock down some threes,” Beebe said. “Ty Randall and Vance Klont did pretty well tonight. The biggest thing was defensively we played really well defensively.”
The Wolfpack would go on to win 68-51, extending their unbeaten record to 15-0 on the season and 12-0 in district play.
“Potterville played really hard and the coach does a really good job,” Beebe said after the game on a phone interview.
Leading all scores was Zander Woodruff, 27 on the night. Also scoring for the Wolfpack were Ty Randall, 20; Vance Klont, 6; Dom Garcia, 2; Lucas Mathews, 2; Jackson Audretsch, 4; Mitchell George, 3; Elliott Wilsey, 2 and Aiden Maddaloni, 2.

The Laingsburg Wolfpack host Perry High Ramblers at home Feb. 2, tipoff is 7 p.m.
