Lansing New Wire had a chance to catch up with Jazlynn Jones, Waverly High’s Sophomore wrestler in the 120 pound division. Here is what she had to say about her wrestling experience in Meet the Lady Warriors Q&A:

Q: What inspired you to start wrestling?

A: My friend wanted me to try it out with her and I ended up enjoying it.

Q: Who has been your biggest influence in wrestling?

A: My Coaches, they’ve kept me motivated and pushed me.

Q: What do you love most about wrestling?

A: The adrenaline you get from it.

Q: What has been the biggest challenge you’ve faced in wrestling?

A: Pushing myself to keep showing up.

Q: Can you describe your first match? How did you feel?

A: My first match was exhausting, me and my opponent were new and had little to no clue what we were doing.
