By RAUL GARCIA JR | The Lansing News Wire

The date is set and Lions fans are extatic to have their team one game away from the Super Bowl.

But, to get to the Super Bowl the Lions have to get past the 49ers in San Francisco on Sunday in their NFC Championship bout. Kick off is 6:30 p.m.

Lions kicked the door in to get to the NFC Championship showcasing their high octane offensive run and pass game against the Buccaneers. The Lions marched down feild led by Lions quarterback Jared Goff. He put together a stellar second-half performance Sunday to propel the Lions to a 31-23 win over Tampa Bay. Goff was red hot in the second half, completing 16-of-21 passes for 188 yards and a touchdown with no turnovers.

Lions rookie running back Jahmyr Gibbs made big runs and will be an important he finds the endzone against the 49ers. Against Tampa Bay he finished with 79 yards with nine carries. Gibbs will be a factor if the Lions are going to punch their ticket to the Super Bowl.

The Buccaneers had an unpleasant time with the Lions. And if they can distrup the 49erd offense and rattler their quarterback like they did Tampa Bay’s it will be a great day for Lions fans. Againt Tampa Bay the defense had eight quarterback hits, five passes defended, two interceptions, four sacks, and four tackles for loss.

Let’s Go Lions!
