Lady Spartans bounce back with win over Northwestern Lady Wildcats

Michigan State defeated Northwestern 89-75 on Sunday, rebounding from a 63-59 loss to Oregon on Thursday—their first home defeat of the season. The Spartans (18-4, 8-3 Big Ten) have now won six of their last seven games. Nyla Hampton led the way with a season-high 16 points.

After a tough loss Oregon the number 16th ranked team Michigan State Spartans found themselves down by 15 entering the 4th quarter, they showed incredible heart and grit, cutting the Oregon Ducks’ lead to just 3 points with 4 minutes remaining. Despite the relentless effort, they couldn’t quite close the gap and fell 63-59, suffering their first home loss of the season.

The Spartans now stand at 18-4 (8-3). But one thing’s for sure — this team’s fight is unmatched
